Thank you for visiting the sideshow!  My name is Laquita Matthews. 

I have worked as a wardrobe stylist and costume designer in New

York City for many years.  I created the Sideshow Kitties to combine

several of the things I'm most passionate about:  sewing, vintage

textiles and buttons, the vanishing American sideshow, and of

course, kitties.

Sideshow Kitties are handmade in New York State from recycled

clothing, fabrics, and vintage buttons.  Because of this, each

Sideshow Kitty is unique.  No two will ever be exactly the same!

(Unfortunately, this also means they are not suitable for infants or

small children.  The buttons are well sewn, but they could be a

choking hazard if they were pulled off.)

I hope you enjoy these kitties as much as I enjoy making them.
